Dortmund face Hoffenheim in an interesting Bundesliga clash on Saturday.
Borussia Dortmund secured second place with a 2-0 win last time out, a result that continued two recent trends: seven of their previous eight Bundesliga matches have seen just one side score, whilst their last four matches have witnessed under 2.5 goals.
Furthermore, nine of Dortmund’s last 11 league wins have now come ‘to nil’.

Two defeats from Dortmund’s last three home games is a disappointment though. Both defeats came ‘to nil’ and subsequently, just one side has scored in seven straight Bundesliga matches here.
However in contrast, the last five competitive H2Hs held at this venue saw both teams score and over 2.5 goals (W3, D2 – 90 minutes only).
Hoffenheim travel here after losing just one of their last seven matches (W4, D2, L1), four of which featured over 3.5 goals. With only five of their 14 Bundesliga wins seeing them lead at half-time, it’s been the second half where Hoffenheim have really excelled, netting 65.31% of their league goals after the break.
That percentage rises to 73.91% when playing away, which is why Hoffenheim have clawed back points in half of the away league games in which they trailed at half-time (W1, D2, L3).
With that fighting spirit, and a current six-game unbeaten Bundesliga away run (W2, D4), the visitors could further build on an impressive 50% win rate as an away outsider this league campaign.
