Those most concerning issues comes at the back, where they’re a little thread bare at the moment.
Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet are indisputable in the starting eleven, with Jean-Clair Todibo behind them as backup but his ability remains something of a mystery. Samuel Umtiti is permanently injured, as he has been since winning the World Cup.
Pique and Lenglet already have five games under their belts without a minute’s rest. The Frenchman’s season has weighted on him a little more though, having played twice for France during the international break.
Only Todibo sits on the bench. He’s got two official appearances behind him, but he didn’t exactly make the best impression in those.
Umtiti’s issues have weakened the defence. He’ll be out for about a month and a half, and the Catalans will likely be looking to rotate at some point during his absence.
